I love the way beautiful things can evoke myths, magic and the romance of the past — the splendor of the gilded age, legendary heroes and heroines, stories of ancient Goddesses, the Knights of the Round Table and their Ladies, tales of enchanted forests— elegance, craftsmanship, carefree escapades (oh to be carefree again), splendor, a profusion of colors so rich you could eat them, a wealth of charm and whimsy — and foretelling of a future where these things can be again —
