Goodbye LA . . .

After a number of years here in Los Angeles, my husband and I are moving to the San Francisco Bay area.

As of December 1st, Dominion of Light Jewels’ new home will be in Emeryville, CA.   We have leased a loft there—on Park Avenue!  Although, nothing like New York’s Park Ave—in Emeryville, Park Ave is mostly warehouses!  Our loft is one of the smallest, (which means paring down, something difficult for a compulsive collector), but it does have an immense window—18′ wide by 16′ high!  And the building is quite fabulous—an adaptive re-use project brilliantly designed by David Baker Architects using an old fruit drying warehouse originally constructed in 1925.  I couldn’t resist posting some photos—

I will miss the lovely ladies, (and occasional dashing gentlemen) who have come to the trunk shows here in LA.  We have spent many happy hours together, trying on jewelry and having quite a marvelous time!  And to all my wonderful online clients, DominionofLightJewels.com will not change at all, so you can continue ordering from the website, however do to moving, I will not be able to send out orders between November 25 & December 6.

A Bit of Magic for the Darkening Days of Winter~

Now, as the seasons turn and the days grow ever shorter, I found these beautiful Ninfa Gardens in Italy.  The images will make your spirits soar — for before we know it the holidays with their bright lights will be here — and not too far beyond them, the lovely promise of spring.

(Oh, and as a practical post script, I will be out of town starting tomorrow Wednesday, November 4th.  All new orders will not be shipped out until November 17.  I apologize for any inconvenience.)
