Adventures in Emeryville 3

Last weekend we took a little time off and drove over to 4th St.  It’s a lovely little shopping district in Berkeley with many small independent shops and restaurants.   There’s often a band playing music right outside Peets Coffee and the area is filled with people just having a wonderful mellow time, kids and doggies too!

These two totally adorable kids (exuberantly having a marvelous day) were on their way to Anthropologie, the little one in her mom’s coat—

There was a big crowd at George Pet Store who was hosting Milo Foundation pet adoptions —

The volunteers were great —

The Gardener is  a beautiful shop carrying plants, gifts and whimsical, unusual things —

Bette’s Ocean View Diner — Yummy —

The Cupkates Bakery Truck showed up and a big line formed for some of the best cupcakes in California — Kate McEachern (I think the nice looking guy is her husband),  started the business about 6 months ago —
